Limitless Options to Explore Lake Clark National Park by Kayak or Boat

Go Anywhere! Really the trips and ideas we have are just a few options. Paddle around all of Lake Clark! We dare you! We can drop you off, pick you up, or you can choose to be entirely on your own. Either way, we offer DeLorme inReach rentals so you are never out of touch. Here are a few more ideas:

Chulitna Bay Rent the Ket'nu for some world class Northern Pike Fishing in Lake Clark National Park. These fish can be monsters! This is also bird and wildlife haven. Although the water is not pristine crystal blue due to the natural muds of the Chulitna River, when you are here you know why this area was such a vital heartbeat to the Dena'ina Athabascan.

Tommy Creek Short on time? This half-day paddle might turn into a full day if you get distracted. Bald eagles, fishing, black bears. Although Tommy Creek is less than 6 miles out of town, you will experience Lake Clark National Park. Great for those who want to get out on their own but are a little intimidated.

Munyuq Beach (pronounced Mun-Yuck). Ok. It is directly across the lake from Port Alsworth. However, it is still one of our favorites! Perfect sunsets on the beach and a 5 minute hike for views of the length of Lake Clark. For those with late arrival flights into Port Alsworth, this is one to get you into Lake Clark National Park quickly. Within an hour paddle you are on the other side of the lake and enjoying some serenity. The next day? Continue on a kayak trip up lake to Kijik or down lake to White Sands Beach. Or head back to Port Alsworth and enjoy something new.
